As I stare out at my window at the soggy gray melting ice (that wasn’t snow), I’m dreaming of warmer, sunnier times, and particularly photographing families in warmer, sunnier times. So, I’m taking it back to this ADORABLE family photo session from October at Kinder Farm Park in Millersville, MD (with the cutest baby and fur baby of all time!)

I have known this handsome dad for literally as long as I can remember (we grew up in the same neighborhood, and went to the same high school). I was lucky enough to get to photograph this beautiful couple last year when this adorable girl was still in her mama’s belly. Sessions like this are SO much fun because they literally are a visit with friends while I play with my camera. Sessions like this make me realize that I am so lucky to get to be a family photographer in Annapolis, my hometown.

Kinder Farm Park is one of my favorite Anne Arundel County parks to visit with my boys. They have farm animals, a super cool playground, and miles of fun trails to explore. I really love the combination of big open fields and tree lined trails. It’s also close to BWI airport, so the plane spotting there is good if you, too, have plane-loving littles (we like to talk about where they’re coming from).

Back to this family – how stinking cute are they? And that pup? Literal perfection.

Oh and – remember fall foliage? We picked just the right day for this with so much beautiful color in some of the trees. We just had to plop baby girl in a pile of orange leaves at the end.
